Hypospadias repair moves the urinary opening to the tip, straightens any curvature and reconstructs the appearance. In children it is usually planned at 6–18 months, and circumcision should not be done before repair. Adults and patients with problems after earlier surgery can also be treated.
Why repair?
Downward spraying, sitting to urinate, curvature on erection and appearance. Foreskin may be needed for the repair.
