In which season should rhinoplasty be performed?
The process of deciding to have a rhinoplasty usually begins when you are under 18 years old.
During adolescence, people plan to have surgery by wearing it on their nose, like me. Disliking various parts of the body is one of the biggest characteristics of adolescence.
So, can we have rhinoplasty surgery whenever we want?
Is there a certain age limit for rhinoplasty?
Does it make any difference if the surgery is done in summer or winter? I researched these for you and tried to write the answers here.
Nose Aesthetic Surgery During Adolescence
One of the most frequently asked questions regarding rhinoplasty is age. Because, especially during adolescence, people get to know their bodies better and may start to dislike themselves.
This is how I first researched rhinoplasty and decided to have surgery. It felt like everyone was looking at my nose, and I was especially confused about how to stand while taking photos.
As the years pass, people get over this incident and their self-confidence increases. But some people want to have surgery without waiting for this transition period or the health thinking process.
Is There an Age Limit for Rhinoplasty?
As far as I know, there is no legal age limit for rhinoplasty. But there are some limitations generally recommended by doctors.
The most important of these is the completion of the person’s development. Because after surgery before the development is completed, if there is a growth or development in the nasal bones or cartilages, shape changes may occur in the nose. To prevent this, the person is expected to complete his development. This can also be called the 18 age limit.
Generally, people complete their development by the age of 18 and there is not much development after that age. Some doctors even lower the age limit to 17 years for women. The decision here is up to you.
In which season should rhinoplasty be performed?
There are some periods when plastic surgery is intense; Spring comes first among these. Spring is a season that increases people’s interest in aesthetics as the temperature is suitable, the complacency of winter is eliminated and thin clothes are started to be worn.
Therefore, the ideal period for patients who will have rhinoplasty is the beginning of summer. It would be appropriate for people who plan nose surgery during their leave periods to have it done during the summer holidays rather than the winter, especially if they have allergies.
Those who want to have nose surgery can easily have surgery in the summer, provided that they allocate the last week of their holidays for the surgery and then protect themselves from the sun.
Another point that those who decide to have rhinoplasty pay attention to is which season or month it would be better to have surgery.
Because, in the summer months, it is not very comfortable to stand with a cast or bandages. In addition, some doctors do not recommend going out in the sun for 4-6 weeks after rhinoplasty.
If you read my post-rhinoplasty article, maybe you can learn more about this subject. Considering all this, the summer months are a little more difficult to have surgery. But of course, the fact that many people are working and want to have this surgery during their leave may cause restrictions in their month or season choices. However, not all nose aesthetics are the same, you can decide on the moon by consulting your doctor. This issue may not be very important in surgeries that can be performed with a simple procedure.
This is what I have learned about rhinoplasty, season and age. If you know anything, I hope you share it here.
Who should have rhinoplasty?
For better or worse, the nose is the first limb that is noticed when looking at your face, as it sits right in the middle of the face. For this reason, a large number of nose aesthetics are performed every year.
We are in the first place in nose aesthetic surgeries
We reflect a worldwide prototype with the “Black Sea type” nose shape that our genetic heritage has given us. Since we are a warm-blooded race, our exposure to trauma is much higher than other races.
Curvature of the nose occurs in later ages due to trauma that begins with ball hits in childhood and continues with falls and collisions. Breathing difficulties begin to appear.
Due to these mentioned features, our country ranks first in nose aesthetics.
